Express garbage disposal is increasing

A survey of 2,015 people showed that 70.8 percent of respondents believe it is necessary to recycle express delivery and takeout waste for environmental and convenience reasons.But only 16.2 percent of respondents said they were willing to pay extra for recycling packaging, while 60.6 percent said they would not.

In the survey, 37.8 percent of the respondents think the packaging of express delivery and takeout food is complicated, 50.0 percent think it is average, 10.6 percent think it is relatively simple and 1.6 percent think it is very simple.For delivery and takeaway delivery, the most common types of packaging are paper boxes (71.6 percent), plastic bags (70.2 percent), white filled foam (47.6 percent), plastic paper with bubbles (45.0 percent), and single-use plastic boxes or meal boxes (14.2 percent).

In the survey, the most common problem for delivery packages is that they are wrapped in too much Scotch tape (56.5%), followed by plastic products that are not environmentally friendly (48.2%).Others include too much foam or air filling (34.3 percent), weak and inadequate packaging (32.1 percent), and oversized cases (25.0 percent).

In the survey, 70.8 percent of the respondents thought it was necessary to recycle garbage from express delivery or food delivery, 17.3 percent said it was not necessary, and 12.0 percent were not sure.As for how to deal with express garbage, 33.0 percent of the respondents said they simply throw it away without sorting it, 40.4 percent said they would sort it before discarding it, 43.1 percent said they would sell it to a recycling center, 34.8 percent would recycle it by themselves, and 3.8 percent said Courier companies would recycle it.

Huang Chenqian said she just throws the garbage into the trash bin every time without much disposal.Cartons and plastic boxes take up a lot of space and are not very useful if you recycle them yourself.As for why there is no sorting, she said: "There are three garbage cans placed side by side downstairs. The original intention is to sort, but people don't have the awareness of sorting. The garbage in the three garbage cans is randomly thrown away, so they don't insist on sorting."

What advice do interviewees have on Courier waste?71.4 percent of respondents suggested recycling and using personal information after erasing it, and 57.4 percent suggested investing more in scientific research and inventing green packaging.Others include: promoting the standardization of express packages, unified recycling (52.9%), popularizing people's awareness of garbage classification and sorting (48.8%), and recycling on the spot after delivery by express companies (30.1%).
